Show Synthetic media is a compar-i compar-i atively new form that is being used experimentally by painters I all over the country. Professor Leek explains that it is com pounded of synthetic resin and I has all of t lie advantageous qualities of oil witn tew of the drawbacks. The pigments are more durable and dry more quickly than oil and the substance is soluble in water but completely washable when dry. Professor Leek said that although al-though the synthetic material is still in the process of development develop-ment and refinement he sees it is something which may lead to a complete revolution in painting. He said that it will bo utilized extensively in CSU summer school painting classes. 1 The student exhibit will be open to the public daily from 8 a. m. to 10 p. m. through June 4. A display of ceramic pieces will be shown in the patio area of the Arts and Crafts building ! during Commencement week. |
