Show Hammond Presents Boat to Boy Scouts of District The monthly Court of Honor of the Brian Head district of the Boy Scouts was hold Sunday, May 23 In the Paragunah Ward chapel with scouts of Troop 331 of that ward conducting the opening op-ening exercises under the direction direc-tion of Eugene Robb, sioutmas ter. Advancements made during the honor court were as follows: Life Scout, Philip Miller, troop 341 (First Ward); Sam Halter-man Halter-man and Larry Day, troop 313 (Third). First Class to Skip Stones of troop 331 (ParagonaM; Second Class. Craig Robinson, troop 3-19 (Secondt and Jeffrey Taylor of Troop 313 (Third I. A total of 38 merit badges were presented to the scouts of the district during the evening. Stanley Hammond of Parowan, presented the scouts In the district dis-trict with a boat to be used In the scout program. George Banks chairman of the troop committee accepted the gift In behalf of the acouts. The boat will be available avail-able to all troops in the district by reservation with the district committee and will be helpful In the passing of merit badges as well ae for the boys enjoyment The Parowan Third Ward Troop 343 was presented with the the activity award for Its activi-tie activi-tie during the past several months and a new contest was started with Troop 311 of the First Ward winning the initial contest The next Court of Honor will be held June 27 at 8 p. m. in the Third Ward chapel, with this court to be a special Eagle event. |
