Show Cast Selected from 1 07 Festival Applicants A total of 109 applications for the acting company of the fourth annual Utah Shakespearean Festival Fes-tival have been received by Festival Fes-tival directors, it was announced by Fred C Adams, College of Southern Utah drama director and founder of the fast growing drama presentation. " A company of 39 has been selected from the applications," Mr. Adams said. "This includes students from the Actors Studio in New York City and the Pasadena Pasa-dena Playhouse In California." This company of 13 women and 26 men will, through the month of June, prepare in repertoire style, three of William Shakespeare's Shake-speare's most outstanding plays, :: Merry Wives of Windsor," "King Lear" and "Much Ado About Nothing." The plays will be directed by Dr. Thomas Markus, Santa Barbara, Bar-bara, Calif.; Dr. Michael Addison, Riverside, Calif., and Mr. Adams. The troupe will assemble on June 8 to begin preparations for the plays which will be staged in nightly rotation from July 8 until un-til 2S on the outdoor setting on ,tho campus quadrangle. |
