Show CSU Alumnus Gives $100 Contribution To Growing College Austin M. Jones, alumnus of the class of 1910 of the Branch Agriculture College, forerunner of College of Southern Utah, has made a contribution of $100 to the college with the suggestion that it be used to buy books for the library. The iunds will be matched by a contribution from the Ford Fund Educational Aid Program. In a letter accompanying the gift, Mr. Jones explained tiiat he has followed the progress and growth ol the college with great interest. He commended Dr. Hoyden Hoy-den C. Braithwaite, CSU Director, and all connected with the Institution Insti-tution for the evidence of good planning and hard work that is obvious in the present status of the college. He especially noted the substantial support given CSU by the "entire southern Utah Community." In accepting the donation, Dr. Braithwaite expressed the gratitude grati-tude of the college for the expression expres-sion of faith by a former student. Mr. Jones presently resides in Menlo Park, Calif. He is employed em-ployed by 1'hilco Corporation, a subsidiary of Ford Motor to. |
