Show NEWS NOTES FROM SUMMIT Mrs. Donna Davenport President and Mrs. David L. Sargent of Cedar City attended our Sacrament meeting Sunday and reported some of their interesting in-teresting experiences enjoyed re-centliy re-centliy while on an LDS Mission in the Hawaiian Islands. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Matheson spent a few days last week visiting visit-ing in Downey, Calif, with Mrs. Matheson's sister and family, the L. H. Morton's. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet made a business trip to Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Delos Dalton and children spent the week end in Circleville visiting with Mr. Dai-ton's Dai-ton's family. Mr. and Mrs. Dee White attended at-tended meetings for County Assessors As-sessors in Salt Lake City last week. The H. L. Morton family of Downey, Calif, and a daughter, Mrs. Kathy Wilson and two sons from Colorado visited here over the week end with a son and family, the Rodger Morton's and with Esther's sister and brother. Mr. and Mrs. Al Matheson and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert White and family. "The Fireside was held in the Ward chapel Sunday evening under the direction of the Bishopric. Bishop-ric. Mrs. Lydla Morton accompanied accompa-nied her folks, the Albert Harrison Harri-son of New Castle, to Salt Lake City where they spent the week end, returning home Sunday evening. Mrs. Bertrand Dalley took her .parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hulet to their home In St. George last Thursday after spending more than a week here during Mr. Hulet's recent illness. Mrs. Sylvia Stapley, Mrs. Leo-na Leo-na Smith and Mrs. Billye Hum-pherys Hum-pherys were the Birthday Club hostesses Friday evening when the ladies met at the home of Mrs. Mary Dalley. The time was spent in playing games and a delicious dessert was served. Mrs. Minnie Dalley and Mrs. Pauline Hulet whose birthdays were on Dec. 7th. were the honored guests. The Priests Cottage Meeting was held Saturday evening at the Raymond Farrow home, where a son, Dick, was in charge. Talks were given by Darryl Davenport, Da-venport, Keith and Kent Hum-pherys. Hum-pherys. Mrs. Farrow served delicious de-licious refreshments to the boys and their parents. Visitors at the Jay Davenport home last Thursday afternoon was Jay's mother, Mrs. Wm. T. Davenport, and a sister, Mrs. Wllma Lamoreaux of Paragonah. Week end visitors at the home of Bishop Ivan Dalley was a brother and family, the Howard Dalley's of Cedar City. |
