Show CSU Professor Holds Biology Workshop In Garfield County Outstanding biological science students from Garfield County School District met for a workshop work-shop Saturday in Panguitch under un-der the direction of Dr. Wesley P. Larsen of the College of Southern South-ern Utah Biology Department. Dr. Larsen led discussions on recent advances in biology and career opportunities in this field. He was assisted by CSU student, T. Kelly Dalton, Cedar City, who presented biology displays and demonstrations on microscopic studies. The workshop was the fifth in a series of 10 sessions being sponsored by the Utah State Extension Ex-tension Division for students in southern Utah counties. Discussions Discus-sions cover a number of areas of interest and are aimed at providing factual information which will be a stimulus to students planning careers in various va-rious fields. The meeting was held in the Panguitch High School at the invitation of principal Stewart LeFevre. |
