Show I Literary Club Welcomed at Paragonah Home Mrs. Howard Jones welcomed the ladies of the' Parowan Literary Liter-ary Club to her home In Paragonah Para-gonah for their regular meeting. The event was held on Wednesday Wednes-day evening, Dec. 5, snd Mrs. Karl Mitchell assisted Mrs. Jones as co-hostess. Mrs. Thales Brown, club president, pres-ident, conducted a short business meeting at which time projects for the current season were disci' dis-ci' ssed. One project, tnat of collecting clothing for the State Hospital, was decided on. Clothing is to be collected by Jan. 16, 1963, and taken to the home of Mrs. Hills Orton, chairman of the project committee, or the home of Mrs. I Brown. Mrs. Herman E. Bayles, who 'was In charge of the evening's lesson, gave a history and description de-scription of the Peace Corp. Mrs. Max Hendrickson gave a very Interesting report on the type of work being done In the ten countries coun-tries of the world where the Peace Corp is functioning. At the conclusion of the evening's eve-ning's program, delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served by the hostesses. hos-tesses. The next regular meeting of the club in the form of the annual an-nual Christmas Party, will be held at the home of Mrs. Albert Adams on Wednesday, Dec. 19. - |
