Show Local Post Office Staff Ready For Heavy Holiday Mail "We're ready for an all time record Christmas mail at the Cedar Ce-dar City Post Office," stated Ru-Ion Ru-Ion S. Wood, postmaster, as he put his "Mail Early for Christmas" Christ-mas" campaign into high gear today. "Every facility of the post office of-fice is being expanded to render maximum service. Extra trucks and personnel have been added, and special mailing schedules will be set up to insure prompt handling of the tremedous flood of both incoming and outgoing mail," he said. Some suggestions, however, were given, that would help the department offer better service during this the busiest season of the year. Wood specifically asked ask-ed that the business mail bo brought to the office early in the afternoon to allow processing and eliminate late minute bottle necks to meet the current run schedules. Other suggestions included: 1. Be sure your'Christmas card and gift mailing lists are up-to-date; 2. Use the new 4 cents Christmas Christ-mas stamps on your greeting cards to insure their forwarding. Three cent, or second class mail will not be forwarded, under new regulations, he cautioned; 3. Pack your Christmas gifts securely in sturdy containers; 4. most important of all Mail your cards and gifts within the next few days. |
