Show "Amahl and the Night Visitors" Set For Final Performance Four presentations of the touching Christmas opera '.'Am-ahl '.'Am-ahl and the Night Visitors," were presented Tuesday by the College of Southern Utah Music Department Depart-ment and featuring four young men, 8 through 12 years of age, in the lead role. An estimated 2000 people, principally prin-cipally students of the College and of the Elementary schools witnessed the one act opera. The musical drama by Glan-Carlo Glan-Carlo Menotti will feature Eric Marchant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elloyd Marchant, Cedar City as Amahl and Jane Fillmore, Beaver, Bea-ver, as the mother. Other cast members will include Janice OI-sen, OI-sen, Cedar City; Brent Bauer, Murray; and CSU faculty members mem-bers Dr. Blaine Johnson, LcRay McAllister and Kent Myers. The CSU choir and members of Dr. Johnson's singing class will be heard as the Sheperd's chorus. Accompanists are Nancy Claire Johnson. JoAnne Duncan, Janice Lamb and Mrs. Loa Johnson. John-son. Production and staging will be supervised by Prof. Fred C Adams Ad-ams of the CSU Drama Department Depart-ment with Mrs. LaVeve Whetten ' of the Dance Department, In charge of choreography.
