Show Senators Announce Exams for Service Academies Qualification examinations for young Utahns interested in appointment ap-pointment to United States service ser-vice academies will be conducted at 17 post offices in Utah on Monday, Nov. 14, it was announced announc-ed today by Senators Arthur V. Watkins and Wallace F. Bennett. Both Utah Senators use the annual an-nual Civil Service examination to assist them in selecting candidates can-didates for appointment to the U. S. Military, Naval and Air Force Acadamies. Candidates wil,l be enrolled in the Academies' cl tss of 1950, upon satisfactory completion com-pletion of the final qualifying examinations and other entrance requirements of the respective academy. Utah young men interested are invited to apply for the necessary application forms at the Washington Wash-ington office of either Senator. The completed forms must be returned re-turned not later than Oct. 157. Candidates must be citizens-, single, and not less than 17 years of age or more than 22 years of age by July 1, 1956. They must be able to pass an exacting phys-icaj phys-icaj examination. The qualifying, examination consists of problems in mathematics, English, spatial relations, and other subjects. Examinations in Utah will be conducted at post offices in Cedar City, American Fork, Beaver, Delta, Del-ta, Dugway, Logan, Manti, Moab, Ogden, Panguitch, Price, Provo, Richfield. Salt Lake City, St. George, Tooele, and Vernal. |
