Show 200 PINTS SET AS QUOTA Blood Bank Savings Dept. Calls for Deposits A quota of 200 pints of blood has been set for the visit of the Red Cross Blood Bank which will be in Cedar City on Thursday, Sept. 22, according to Herschel Neeley, Cedar City chairman. Residents of the city have been urged by the chairman to sign up now for donations to help meet the quota. The unit will be stationed sta-tioned at Hotel El Escalante from 2:00 p. m. to 7:30 p. m. making it convenient for almost anyone to visit, it was' pointed out. Blood donated to the blood bank is sent to SaJt Lake City for storage and use in time of emergency, emer-gency, Neeley pointed out. It is on call by the Iron County Red Cross at any time that it is felt the need arises, the chairman said. For this reason all citizens should consider the small sacrifice sacri-fice that is asked. At the last visit of the unit Ce-dar Ce-dar City fell below the 150 pint quota. With the 50 pints added to the quota citizens must heed the cajl. A telephone survey has been instigated in which all citizens will be contacted. They are urged, when called, to sign up for the bloodmobile visit. Time can be arranged to fit the' needs of the Individual, Neejey said. |
