Show Bloodmobile Seeks One Hundred Pints from Residents The Red Cross bloodmobile unit is making another visit to this section of the state and will be in Parowan next Monday, Sept. 19 from 3 to 7 p. m., it is announced by A. C. Hatch, vice chairman of the Iron County Red Cross Chapter, in charge of the program here. William Carlston, local Seminary Sem-inary principal has been named blood procurement chairman and he states that the goal of the bloodmobile visit here -this time has been set at 100 pints. The first two visits of the unit to Parowan reached this quota, but two later visits failed to reach a similar quota. Mr. Carlston states that this week will be spent in procuring pledges from residents of Parowan and Paragonah Para-gonah and assigning times to visit the procurement center on Monday to keep a steady stream of pledges coming in during the afternoon. All people who are not contacted or who haven't given Wood before are urged to contact Mr. Carlston or Mr. Hatch between be-tween now and Monday. The mobile unit will be set up in the shop department of the high school and local nurses', nurses aids and others will be asked to volunteer to help in handling the program and operate oper-ate the canteen- in connection with the visit. Mr. Carlston states that with the regular donations of blood by residents of the city it makes aU residents eligible to receive free blood, free of charge, at any accredited hospital of the plan with the Iron County hospital Included In the list. There are many persons whose blood will not be taken, but, under new regulations they will be eligible to receive blood from the Wood bank. |
