Show Utah Symphony To Make Cedar City Visit Arrangements for another concert con-cert in Cedar City by the Utah Symphony were completed this week when Symphony Director, Maurice J. Abravanel, visited Cedar Ce-dar City and conferred with M. A. Cowjey, chairman, and Roy L. Halversen, secretary, Cedar City Music Arts Association. The Utah Symphony concert will be on Nov. 18 in the College of Southern South-ern Utah auditorium. The Symphony concert has been held in the college field-house field-house in years past, but will be moved to the auditorium this year although the seating capacity is not as great. All other concerts on the 1855-56 1855-56 Music Arts series will also be held In the auditorium this year, it is understood. They have been held In the public school auditorium audi-torium in the past. The first number on the winter win-ter series will be on Oct. 28, Mr. Cowley reports, when a new type number will be presented. It wiU by the Festival Mexicano, a singing, sing-ing, dancing and orchestra en-sembje, en-sembje, Mr. Cowley states. The Festival Mexicano features outstanding artists from Mexico City, who will tour parts of the United States during the winter months. It presents a rare opportunity oppor-tunity to bring such an unusual and outstanding performance to the people of Southern Utah. |
