Show Junior High School Enrollment Shows Large Increase Before the year is ended the Cedar City Junior High School will register nearly 500 students, a considerable increase over any previous year, according to Lorin C. Miles, principal. With the extra rooms that are being added from the adjacent elementary building and the addition ad-dition of a new construction, which is progressing rapidly, the yearly increased enrollment will be taken care of comfortably and conveniently the principal stated, Faculty, students and custodial custo-dial employees of the school are a,t the present time somewhat inconvenienced by the construction construc-tion program being carried on at the school. However, it is reported re-ported that the spirit of the classrooms class-rooms and the enthusiasm of the students is outstanding under the conditions. Workmen on the construction project have been very cooperative, cooper-ative, the principal stated. In an attempt to foster beter public relaions in the school this year the Parent-Teachers Association Associ-ation of the school will carry out a program of acquainting the general public with the philosophy philo-sophy and workings of the school. As soon as conditions will permit per-mit a program of "visit days" will be started along with a radio program featuring students, teachers and parents. "Education is big business and costly business and the parents and patjons have a right to know what they are supporting and paying for. We intend to let the public know," Miles said. |
