Show Mignon Potter Exchanges Vows with Keith Cooley in Impressive Temple Ceremonies An impressive ceremony performed per-formed by president Harold S. Snow In the St. George Temple on Sept, 7, joined in wedlock Mignon Mi-gnon Rotter, daughtetr.of Mr. and Mrs. V. C. Potter of Loa, and Keith Cooley son of Professor and Mrs. C. B. Cooley of Cedar City. The young couple were accompanied accom-panied through the temple by both of their parents' and a sister sis-ter of the bride, Mrs. Woodrow Tarsons of Richfield. Trofessor and Mrs. Cooley entertained en-tertained at a wedding dinner at Dicks Cafe after the ceremony for the wedding party. Following the dinner the newlyweds left for a short honeymoon in Las Vegas. A reception Saturday night nt the LDS ChapcJ in Loa honored the new Mr. and Mrs. Cooley, and many friends and relatives called to w ish them well. Best man for his brother was Charles T. Cooley. Maid of Honor LaRue Dalley was maid of honor hon-or for Mignon, with bridesmaids Vlrgle Totter, Jane Okerlund and Fawn De Loeuw. The attendants were all dressed in short formals of pastel colors, and carried nosegays nose-gays of white asters. The lovely bride chose a gown of white chantilly lace, with a full oversight halfway covering a layer of sheer tulle that fell floor length over an underskirt of satin. The neckline was V shap-. shap-. cd, and It had short sleeves. She wore ftlbow length gloves. Her vil was of sheer tulle, and fell from a crown beaded in pearls. The bridal bouquet yas of white asters and red roses. The mother of the bride was dressed In blue, and the groom's mother wore maroon. Both wore corsages of white asters. , Several small nieces of the bride received the gifts at the door, and the gifts were arranged for display by the sisteis of the bride and of the groom. Wedding Dance After the guests were greeted, a wedding dance was held, the bride and groom dancing the first dance alone. A lovely program was presented present-ed during the dance, followed by refreshments which were served by the parents of the couple, and their sisters. Fall flowers decorated deco-rated the serving table. The newlyweds are making their home In Logan where they will both attend the USAC, he majoring In engineering, and she In education. Keith Is a graduate of Cedar High, and CSU where he was out-, out-, standing In football, and was all-conference all-conference on the basketball team. He was affiliated with Sigma Zeta fraternity. Mignon also attended CSU. |
