An introduction of a new teacher will appear each week.) j Karma Joseph, a native of Boa- j ver, has been added to faculty i of the East Elementary this year. She will instruct in the second grade. Miss Joseph Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Joseph and is familiar with Cedar City having hav-ing attended the College of Southern South-ern Utah for one year. She completed her education at the University of Utah where she majored In elementary education ed-ucation and mlnored In music and social science. While on the campus of CSU she was a member of the XI Lambda Tau sbrorlty and was also a member of the Sponsors Corps. Musically Inclined, she plays the piano and while at the U of U she was a member of the famous marching band and also a member of the University concert con-cert band as a clarinetist. While living in Cedar City she i si staying with a sister, Mrs. Richard GUlics. She has been In the community for some time and spent considerable time nt the East Elementary in advance of the school opening preparing her room and getting acquainted acquaint-ed with Thomas Abplanalp, principal, prin-cipal, and other faculty members. Qualified for her work she Is representative of the fine Instructors Instruc-tors not only In the East Elementary Elemen-tary but the Iron County school svstem In general. |
