Show Rams Suffer Defeat At Hands of Lincoln County High The Farowan High School football foot-ball squad is playing its second practice game of the season this Thursday afternoon at 3 p. m. cn the local field with the Moapa Valley High team of Overton, Nev. as its opponent, announces Richard Jones, coach. This will be the last of the practice games before league play starts for the Parowan Rams and the onJy time they will play at home until the fourth league game on October 20 when Hurricane comes here. Parowan opens league play next Wednesday night in the Dixie Sun Bowl at St. George against a strong Dixie High eleven. ele-ven. On Sept. 30 the Rams play at Cedar City and on Oct. 7 they play at Beaver. The small and rather inexperienced inex-perienced Ram team met a rugged rug-ged team from the Lincoln County Coun-ty High at Panaca last Friday night and came out on the smaU end of a 40 -7 score after holding their larger opponents to a 12-7 score at halftime. But. their larger, larg-er, more experienced opponents overpowered the local boys to push over four touchdowns' in the final half while holding the Rams scoreless. Coach Jones states that two more men have reported to the squad this week, one a regular on last year's team and one who saw quite a lot of action last' year also. j |
