Show Knife and Fork Club Secures Program Speakers Membership In the Escalante Knife and Fork club of Cedar City is nearing its maximum for the 1953-54 season, according to L. A. Whetten, secretary of the club. Only a very few of last year's members have failed to renew their membership in spite of the fact that the deadline has not yet been reached, he reports. An excellent program has been arranged by the board of directors direc-tors for the coming season, with top speakers scheduled for each month, October through March. The season will open on Oct. 19, with Harold J. Kennedy speaking on the subject of "Theatrical Funny Business." The remainder of the speakers and their subjects will be as follows: fol-lows: Nov. 16: Jeff Williams, "Getting "Get-ting Back to the American Way." Dec. 7: Hilton Ira Jones, "Peeps at Things to Come." Jan. 20.: The Flying Reporter. His subject to be announced later. Fib. 18: Carlos Fallon, "Misadventures "Mis-adventures at Home and Abroad." March 15; Carveth Wells, "The Road to Shaliman." |
