Show Biederman, Thornton Pace Women's Softball League Race Biederman Hereford Ranch took the lead in the Cedar City Women's softball race in opening open-ing the second half of play against Milt's Circus Lounge Tuesday evening, winning by a 23 to 3 score. Thornton Drug also came up with a second half victory vic-tory over Ray's Cafe to keep in the running. Mrs. F. L. (Tillie) Biederman, president of the association announced an-nounced today that a Cedar City team had been invited to participate parti-cipate in a women's softball tournament tour-nament in St. George next week end, Aug. 27, 28 and 20. It is expected ex-pected that an all-star team will be selected and sent to the tournament tour-nament representing the Cedar City merchants. Teams from St. George, Boulder City, Nov., Williams, Wil-liams, Ariz., and Cedar City will participate, according to Mrs. Biederman. Because of the Southern Utah Softball tournament being held in Cedar City this week end, all games in the women's league havp been postponed |
