Show Recreational Areas Good But Scarce Rotarians Told Youth Service and community recreation was the subject of discussion dis-cussion at the meeting of the Cedar Ce-dar City Rotary club Tuesday. The Youth Service committee, with Elloyd Marchant in charge, presented the program. Speaker at the meeting was Cleo Petty, head of the physical education department of the College Col-lege of Southern Utah and Cedar City recreation director. He discussed dis-cussed recreation facilities in Cedar Ce-dar City, and the need for additional addi-tional improvements. It was pointed out that much development develop-ment has been done, but that very little duplication has resulted. result-ed. "The recreation facilities in Cedar Ce-dar City are excellent," the speaker said, "but a number of additions would greatly improve the recreation program of the community." The efforts of civic groups in developing these facilities facili-ties was praised and the club groups were encouraged to continue con-tinue their efforts along this line. |
