Show ! Annual Fourth Ward Party Plans Completed Final preparations are completed com-pleted for the first annual Fourth Ward summer party and smorgasbord, smorg-asbord, to be held Tuesday evening, eve-ning, Aug. 25 on the church lawn. The M I A of the ward is sponsoring spon-soring the party with Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Olds as head of the young men's and young women's organizations, respectfully. The party will begin at 5 p. m. with the Primary conducting games for the youngsters. Volley-bail, Volley-bail, horseshoe pitching and various var-ious other games and sports will begin for ward members at 6 p. m. Each family of the ward will bo given a food assignment for the smorgasbord, which will start at 7 p. m. Following the smorgasbord, the ward members will attend the showing of the musical revue "Sentimental Journey," Jour-ney," a three-act stage show featuring fea-turing dancing, music, poetry as well as skits and demonstrations. The revue- was written and conducted entirely by the activities activi-ties department of the M I A, under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley DeMille, dance directors; di-rectors; Mary Short, drama director; di-rector; Mrs. Fernleight Gardner, Mrs. LaNoir Jones and Mrs. Glen Jackson, music directors and Mrs. . Dono Webster, speech director. The Smorgasbord for the first annual affair is being conducted by the Relief Society, with Mrs. Arvilla Day as president. A cordial invitation is extended extend-ed to all Fourth ward members to attend this outstanding party. |
