Show NEWCASTLE NEWS NOTES John H. Tullis .former bishop of Newcastle, is in the Iron County Coun-ty hospital suffering from a painful pain-ful injury received last Wednesday Wednes-day when he fell down a flight of stairs. His shoulder blade was broken and his back injured in the fall. Mrs. William Rogers of St. George visited here one day last week. She is a former resident of Newcastle and visited here with old friends. She was accompanied accom-panied by her four sons, Richard, Bruce, John and Douglas. Word was received here by Gordon Knell last week of the death of his brother-in-law, Frank Edwards, in Salt Lake City. Mr. Edwards was the hus-.band hus-.band of the former Miss Marie Knell of Newcastle. Thomas W. Forsyth has gone on a vacation trip to Oklahoma. A dance was sponsored Wednesday Wed-nesday night by the Ward Primary Pri-mary to raise funds for the organization. or-ganization. Refreshments were sold and a lare crowd was in attendance. A good representation of the Newcastle ward attended Stake conference in Cedar City Sunday. Sun-day. Kenneth Gillies, who is employed em-ployed at Las Vegas, Nev.. spent the eweek end here with his parents. par-ents. Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Sin-field Sin-field and family and Miss Mary Sinfield of Lund Nev., were visitors vis-itors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Piatt Tuesday. |
