Show Six Pounder Leads In Season Big Fish Contest Topping all season entries in the big fish contest sponsored by the Cedar City Wildlife Federation, Federa-tion, by three pounds, was a rainbow trout weighed in at Neal and Olie's Market Monday morning morn-ing by Nolan Stokes of Cedar City. Seven and one-half pounds when caught the fish dressed out at six pounds even for contest purposes. On display at the market on Center street the rainbow trout has attracted much attention during the week and it has also revived many a story of the one that got away. Caught at Panguitch lake I while "nigger" fishing the rainbow rain-bow was taken on a double hook line. One hook was baited with a night crawler and the other was baited with chub meat. Mr. Stokes reports that both baits were taken. Winning a weekly prize Stokes will be the recipient of a prize from Jones-Crawford Motor Co. lie also topped the season big fish contest, taking the lead over Mrs. Roe Thorley who has held first place for the past two months with a three pound weigh-in. I Next week's prize will be donated do-nated by the J- C. Penney company com-pany in the senior division and Utah Nash will for the third consecutive con-secutive week try to give a prize in the junior division. No junior jun-ior weigh-ins were made, during the past week. |
