Show I Uim NOTES OF SUMMIT ACTIVITIES j Mrs. Ann Madscn has returned home from California whore she has been visiting with her son ami daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mr. Elmo Smith, who have a new baby daughter. All members of the family of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Unlet gathered gath-ered for a breakfast party Mon-' day morning to honor Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Mickelson, who returned re-turned to Wyoming, where 'r-Mickelson 'r-Mickelson will teach school this Winter. Mrs. Hulda Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rennie and children attended funeral services ser-vices in Hurricane Saturday for Joseph Wittwer, who died in ; Michigan. His body was returned to Hurricane for burial. Mrs. Earl Smith of California is here with her two children, visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Madsen. The members of the Summit 4-H clubs occupied the time in Sacrament meeting Sunday, giv ing reports on their activities at jthe summer encampment last j week and ghing musical tnim-Ibers. tnim-Ibers. The Clover club was represented repre-sented by Margery Farrow, Zo-ella Zo-ella Da Hoy and Evelyn Farrow; the Sugar Lump club by LaRay Farrow, Bonnie Dalley, and Fran-iris Fran-iris Farrow, and the Horned Toad club by Caroline Dalley and Patricia Pa-tricia Humphery. Mrs. Ardena Dalley, who accompanied the girls to the encampment, also gave a brief report. Kent Hulet made a business trip to Provo last week. Mrs. Margaret Allen has returned re-turned home after spending the past 10 days with her daughter, Alice Taylor, in Cedar City. Bishop and Mrs. Lyle Farrow, Mrs. Ray Grimshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Farrow, Mrs. Hulda Peterson Pet-erson and Mr. and Mrs. Alma Lawrence attended a farewell testimonial in Parowan Saturday Satur-day for Mr. and Mrs. Peter H. Gurr who are leaving to fill an L D S mission. Miss Colleen Kimher of Delta was a guest at the home of Allen Lowe Sunday. Wilford Lawrence of Summit, Tom Forsyth of Newcastle, and William Flanigan of Cedar City left Thursday morning fur Oklahoma Ok-lahoma to move Mr. Lawrence's son Aubrey and family to Boulder, Bould-er, Colo. Aubrey will tench at the University of Colorado during the coming winter. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Betenson and children of Cedar City visited visit-ed here Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Farrow, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Farrow, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Walker, and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Ches-ter Benson. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Tobler and children, and Mrs. Tobler's mother, Mrs. Barhara Zohner of Washington visited here Monday Mon-day with Mrs. Hulda Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Dalley, sons Lloyd and Kenneth, and i daughters Linda and Merna of Salt Lake City spent the week end visiting with Mr. Dalley's mother, Mrs. Ardena Dalley. |
