M " "TheUtah Parks company sponsored Pony League team, pictured here with Manager Rudy Ivcrson and the lazy assistant manager man-ager Alex Angclo (he didn't do a thing), walked off with the city championship by turning in a victory in the final game of the season Tuesday. After winning the first-half title easily the Parks players ran into tough times, and had to stage a winning win-ning streak late in the season, and even come from way behind in the final game to win the second half title and the city , -championship. Back row, Ralph Hig-bee, Hig-bee, Kenneth Jones, Conway LeBaron, John Chatterly, Hal Slack, Gary Mathe-son Mathe-son and Arthur Pryor. Lindy Neilson, not pictured, assisted Ivcrson Ivcr-son with the management of the team throughout the season. Following the final fi-nal game the team was honored at a banquet ban-quet at El Escalante hotel and were entertained en-tertained at the drive-in theatre with the showing of the "Babe Ruth Story." |
