Mr. Merrill has been principal and instructor at the Parowan L D S seminary for the past 11 years and is this year being transferred by the church department depart-ment of education to the seminary semin-ary at Springville. Besides being seminary principal, Mr. Merrill i has been a member of the Stake (Continued on Back Page) Honor Principal (Continued from Page IS) committee on education and has served as teacher in several auxiliary aux-iliary organizations in the Parowan Paro-wan West and then Parowan Second Sec-ond wards. The Merrill family has been making preparations to leave for several days and we understand they will leave here either today or tomorrow for Springville. Roy Hatch, Bountiful native, who completed his work at the University of Utah this year, will succeed Mr. Merrill at the local seminary and he and his wife will move Into the seminary residence res-idence within the next week or two, to be ready for the opening of the institution at the same time the high school opens on Sept. 7. |
