Show Assignment Changes Named For Navy Recruiters Robert D. Hooton, QM1, U. S. Navy, arrived in Cedar City last week o relieve W. E. Thomas, CS-SS, U.S Navy, as recruiter for this area. Petty Officer Hooton was born In Glenwood, Utah and attended attend-ed South Sevier High School. He enlisted in the Navy in January of 19.)2 find received his recruit training at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, Calif. Before receiving his assignment to the recruiting service Petty Officer Hooton was serving aboard the Destroyer "John A. Bole" and when assigned to the recruiting r.ervice In December of 1953 was placed at the Navy Recruiting Re-cruiting station in Provo, and was there until his transfer this month to Cedar City. Petty Officer Thomas has been transferred to sea upon completion comple-tion of his tour of recruiting duty and will be serving with the Pacific Pa-cific fleet. |
