Candidates Named For Positions In Local Lions Club Nominations for the annual election of officers for the Cedar City Lions Club have been made with Ray Lindquist and J. Furl Porter, both very actice members of the club, selected to compete for the position of president for the 1954-55 year. The successful candidate will succeed Durham Morris as head of the civic organization. or-ganization. Six candidates have been nominated nom-inated for vice president positions, posi-tions, with a first, second and third vice president elected for the year: The nominees are: first vice president, Dee G. Cowan Co-wan and Eldro Rigby; second (vice president, Reed Berrett and A. W. Stephenson; third vice piesident, Gail Duncan and Ralph Hafen. Two directors will be elected with the members choosing from four nomnnees. including J. Frank Dalley, V. R. Magleby, Darrell Matthews and Howard F. Wood. Nominations for tail twister are Ctaham MacDonald and Morgan Slack. The nominess for Lion tamer are Clifton Chatterley and Wallace Osborne.
