Show City Little League Hopefuls Begin Spring Tryouts Approximately 75 boys between the ages of nine md 12 met at the Cedar City baseball park last Saturday afternoon to begin work and tryouts for the Cedar City 'Little League, according to Cleo Petty, president. At the first meeting of the young hopefuls this year details on workouts and trjouts for Lit-,tle Lit-,tle League teams were discussed land plans laid for tryouts by age 1 groups. Saturday afternoon, April 24, nine year olds will be gin at 1:30 p. m.. 10-year-olds ui 2:30 p. m., and 11 and 12 year-olds from 3:30 to 4:30 p. m. Managers and coaches will be on hand to evaluate the young-, young-, sters in preparation for the bid- dings. Mr. Petty told the hopefuls that everyone must be registered be-i be-i fore they are eligible to parti-( parti-( cipate and that two absences I from tryouts would automatical-i automatical-i ly disqualify them except in ! cases of legitimate excuses. |
