Show County Commission Hames New Fair Board Members The Board of County Commissioners Commis-sioners at the regular meeting held in Parowan last week named three new members to the Iron County Fair Committee, completing the membership, with Thales Brown, chairman; William Wil-liam M. Eyre, Ivan Decker, Parowan; Paro-wan; Ralph A. Gardner, Escal-ar.te Escal-ar.te Valley; Carlos Jones, Cedar City, Elmer Mitchell, Earl Bunn and LiRoy Adams, all of Parowan Paro-wan as committee members. The last three named members were appointed at the board meeting. The board approved a coopera- tive program with the people of Summit to provide sidewalks in that community. Under the agreement the county appropriated appropri-ated $1,750 with which to purchase pur-chase materials, with the Summit Sum-mit people to furnish the labor on the project. County Weed Control Supervisor Super-visor Earl Anderson was instructed instruct-ed to make a survey of all land in the county where noxious weeds are known to be growing and to organize a weed eradication eradica-tion program. Approval was given to change the right-of-way of a section of county road at Iron Springs. pro- viding an agreement with property prop-erty owners can be reached. The change was requested to allow stock-piling of iron ore by the Utah Construction Company on the present right-of-way. The road will be opened at a later date, it is understood. Another request for county financial fi-nancial support of a rain-making or cloud-seeding program was presented by the Southern Utah Water Resources Corporation.
