Show U of U Dance Group Appears For One Performance Approximately 12 modern dances depicting practically all phases of the modern interpretation interpre-tation of dance and music will be enjoyed in Cedar City Friday evrning when the University of Utah Orchesis group appears on slage at the public school auditorium audi-torium at 8 o'clock. Heading the group will be the appearance of two local women who have proved themselves outstanding out-standing in the state of Utah and pailieularly at the U of U. They are Mrs. Joan Woodbury, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Lehi Jones, and Emma Lou Warren, daughter of Mrs. Emma Warren, i A troupe of approximately 24 students will appear in the dance concert including six men. Interpretation Inter-pretation of various fine arts will be given and Mrs. Woodbury indicated in-dicated that the "Blood Wedding" number has been particularly well received in other presentation"; presenta-tion"; throughout the state. Mrs. Woodbury is a dance instructor in-structor at the U of U and Miss Warren teaches at East High School in the capital city. Both have been recognized for their tslents while attending the University. Uni-versity. A variety of numbers, including includ-ing group, solos and a lecture demonstration on modern dance will be presented. Admission charges have been set at 75c for adults and 35c for children. Sponsorship of the group is by the College of Southern Utah and the junior high school. It was pointed out that only one performance per-formance will be given. |
