Show Board Members Selected By Cedar Jaycees Robert Linford, president of the Cedar City Junior Chamber of Commerce, revealed to the Iron County Record today the four men voted to the board of directors direc-tors of that organization for the coming year. A. L. Thompson, James Sand-berg, Sand-berg, Robert Hansen and Gary Macfarlane were selected as two year board members in balloting conducted this past week. These men, all active during the past year, will take over office on June 1. An installation banquet will be held just prior to that time, it is understood. ACTIVE JAYCEES Mr. Thompson has been secretary secre-tary pf the organization this past year, while Robert Hansen was chairman of the Miss Cedar City contest last September and assistant as-sistant chairman to the pageant just recently staged. Mr. Macfarlane Macfar-lane is head of the Jaycce Cleanup Clean-up campaign which is in full swing at the present time. Mr. Sandberg has been an outstanding outstand-ing member serving on several committees and recently has headed a membership discussion on the Echo Park Project. , Announcement of these men as board members will be officially made at a membership meeting scheduled for the' Silver Leaf Inn tonight, Thursday. The election was held at this early date to enable the new officers offi-cers to participate in the state convention to be held at Ogden on April 30, May 1 and 2. These four men and the holdover hold-over board members will elect a president, vice president and a treasurer early next week. Secretary Secre-tary Is an appointive position. I |
