Show New Credit Firm Opens In Cedar City Announcement has boon made that a new credit bureau is being be-ing organized in Cedar City and will bo put in operation on July 1. The corporation composed of local businessmen .will be known as the Credit Bureau of Southern South-ern Utah, and will be managed by M. J. Christensen, who makes his home in Kanarraville. Mr. Christensen Is well known in Cedar, having been employed employ-ed here most of the time since his release from military duty after af-ter the war. For some time he was employed at the Stevens and Company store, and later was associated as-sociated with Commercial Credit Corp. He has had wide experi-" experi-" ence with the later firm having served in the Cedar City, Missoula Missou-la and Billings, Mont, and Las Vegas, Nev. offices. At the present pres-ent time he is credit manager at Leigh Furniture Company. .The new credit bureau will be operated for the benefit of retail merchants, professional men and banks in southern Utah and eastern Nevada, in securing and compiling complete and accurate credit Information and improving improv-ing credit conditions by mutual cooperation. Sponsors of the bureau point out that services of such a credit cre-dit bureau has been needed in this area for a number of years. Now that such a bureau is to be organized the manager urges the public and business people to give full cooperation and support, sup-port, which he feels certain will result in improved buying and selling on credit in home markets. mar-kets.
