Show Temple Ceremonies Unite Barbara Lunt, Chas. Ashman Mr. and Mrs. Lar.ell Lunt announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Barbara, and Charles W. Ashman, which took place Feb. 2 in the St. George L D S temple. The dtuble ring ceremony cere-mony was performed by Pres. Harold S. Snow. The young couple cou-ple was accompanied to the temple tem-ple by Mr. and Mrs. Lunt, Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Ashman, parents par-ents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Lunt, Mrs. Rondo Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, Pres. and Mrs. Carlos Murdock and Bishop and Mrs. Fernleigh Gardner. Following the temple ceremony the new Mr. and Mrs. Ashman were honored at a wedding dinner din-ner given by the parents of the groom. After their return from a short honeymoon they will be feted at a reception Friday, Feb. 5, by the bride's parents. Barbara is a student at the College of Southern Utah where she is president of the Women's Athletic Association and secretary secre-tary of the Phi Alpha Beta so-j so-j rority and also an honor student. Charles is with the U. S. Amy in the Medical division and will be stationed at Camp Pickett in Virginia. The bride has been extensively extensive-ly entertained before her marriage. mar-riage. An announcement breakfast break-fast was given in her honor by her mother for a group of close friends. Miss Karen Froyd entertained enter-tained at a kitchen shower. Mrs. Cecil O. Samuelson, an aunt of Barbara's, honored the couple at a party at her home in Salt Lake last Saturday evening. They were entertained Sunday evening at a family party given by Mrs. Elton Stapley and Mrs. Wilson Lunt at the Stapley home. |
