Show NEWCASTLE The M I A Gold and Green Ball was held here Saturday night. "Apple Blossoms" was the theme of the evening and the hall was very beautifully decorated decor-ated in carrying out this theme. A floor show featured special dance numbers by Sandra Wood, Joell Riddley and Shirley Mcln-tyre, Mcln-tyre, all of Cedar City. "An Apple Ap-ple Blossom Wedding," was sung by Deloris Blake, Bea Piatt and Norma Christensen. Karolyn Knell was crowned queen of the ball. Light refreshments were served during the evening. There was a large crowd in attendance attend-ance contributing to the evening's eve-ning's complete success. Mrs. Amy Page Knell, who has turned 75 years of age, was honored hon-ored at a birthday dinner Saturday Satur-day afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Knell. Mrs. Knell had seven children and all but one were present with their families for the affair. Albert Harrison spent the past week in California. Many of our townspeople attended at-tended Stake Conference in Cedar City last week end. Sterling Tullis is at the Agricultural Agri-cultural College in Logan taking a short course in the interest of dairying. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Knell and Mr. and Mrs. Caine Christensen are spending a week in California. Califor-nia. Mrs. Iva Harrison canvassed the town last week for the "March of Dimes" drive. Reported on the sick list this week were Charles Hulet, Mrs. Cassie Christensen, Mrs. Belle Hulet and many youngsters who have had the croup. |
