Show Cedar City Kiwanians Organize Club in Fillmore The Cedar City Kiwanis Club, one of the most active in the Ltah-Idaho district, proved its energetic efforts last Tuesday evening when 14 members of the organization traveled to Fillmore to initiate the first new club of the district in 1954. Although work on the club has been going on for sometime, mostly through the efforts of Frr.nk Milne, Tuesday evening Darwin Smith, Kiwanis International Interna-tional representative from Chicago, Chi-cago, organized the group with Thomas Whatcott, Millard High School Principal elected as president pres-ident of the newly formed club. At the meeting, time and place for future meetings was decided Meetings will be held at Cafe Ilene at 6:15 p. m. each Thursday. Thurs-day. Under the plans of the organization organi-zation and with the Cedar City club as the organizer, a Cedar City delegation will travel to Fillmore Feb. 11 to present a model mo-del meeting. A tentative date for the installation banquet of the new club has been set for Mar. 6, according to Dale Kemp, Cedar City Kiwanis Club builder chairman. chair-man. Other officers elected for the Fillmore group included Gerald Huff, soil conservation specialist, special-ist, as vice president, and Ronald Ron-ald Anderson as secretary. The 14 member delegation to attend the meeting from Cedar City included President Richard Morris, Frank Milne, Ervin Ul-ver, Ul-ver, Dale Kemp, Ivan Orton, El-wyn El-wyn Halterman, Floyd Atkin, Roger Felt, Therol McArthur, Lee Empey, Boyd Paulson, Rex Harris, Har-ris, McRay Cloward and Rev. Wm. Burton. |
