College 13 1 .929 Third 13 3 .800 Second 12 4 .750 Institute 10 5 .GG7 Fourth 8 G .571 Fifth 5 10 .333 Kanarra 4 10 .285 Sixth 2 13 .133 First 0 11 .000 During the past week's play in the Cedar Stake M-Men Basketball Basket-ball league, the College Ward, which has dominated the league for the last half of play, won victories over the Fifth and First wards and assured itself of a berth at the Regional Tourna-I ment at Milford Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 10, 11, 12 and 13. According to the team pairings as listed by the regional directors direc-tors the College Ward will meet the entry from Parowan Stake at 1:30 p. m. Wedneslay in the initial in-itial game of the tournament. Other pairings in the first round will see St. George meet Milford, Zlon Park Stake vs. Beaver Stake, Kanab Stake vs. Moapa Stake and Uvada Stake will tangle with the L D S Institute of Cedar City, who drew an automatic berth in the play-offs. Although the College Ward has two remaining games in the Stake play it still has the position cinched as one of the games is against the Institute, who, win or lose, has no bearing bear-ing on the race for regional entry. en-try. Its oilier game is against Kanarra Ward and it is exnected I that the College will take both of those encounters. The Second Ward, which is presently in third place has completed com-pleted its league schedule, playing play-ing its final game Tuesday eve-ning eve-ning when it won a victory from the Fifth Ward 37 to 26. With the remaining schedule, including includ-ing six more games, the Second is assured of a tie for second and may win it if the Third, in its one remaining game, should lose to the Fourth. The Fourth ward has previously beaten the Third. Other games remaining pit the First and Kanarra this evening. eve-ning.
