Show Primary Organization Conducts Hospital Fund Drive "The Primary organization rejoices re-joices in the great accomplishments accomplish-ments of its new hospital. Crippled Crip-pled children, no matter what their religion, can be cared for at this well equipped hospital," stated Mrs. Rulon Wood as she announced the opening of the Primary Birthday Pennies drive in the Cedar Stake. Each year the Birthday pennies pen-nies drive is conducted throughout through-out the church as a means of raising funds to maintain the newly constructed crippled children's chil-dren's hospital in Salt Lake City. The plan has been in the past to collect one penny for each year collect one penny for each year of age of the donator. However, I last year this fund did not car-ry car-ry the hospital so a plea for two pennies for each year is being made. For instance, Mrs. Wood pointed out, if you are 30 years old the Primary organization is asking for 60c as your contribution. contribu-tion. As in the past a canvass of the homes wil be made and all patrons of the Primary Association Associa-tion are urged to contribute by the officers and teachers who will make the house to house calls. It is interesting to note that 602 children had residence at the hospital during the past year. 127 stakes of the L D S church have been represented and 23 non-members of the church have been treated. In the out-patient clinic a total of 1358 examinations examina-tions and treatments have been given. |
