Show CSU Women Students Learn About Popularity, Dating Approxima'ely 50 members of the Associated Womens Students at the College of Southern Utah were told that "In order to have a friend you must first be one," by Mrs. Elaine Southwick who presented a discussion on "Dating "Dat-ing and Popularity" Tuesday at 10:30 a. m. Mrs. Southwick who has addressed ad-dressed the zjroup for the last two of the series of discussions, told the young ladies "not to let a day go by that you don't acknowledge ac-knowledge the things that friends do for you. What really matters is sharing the fastest road to unpopularity is to put yourself in solitary confinement." Following Mrs. Southwick's discussion two students, Dorothy Rencher and Renee Jones, conducted con-ducted a panel discussion on questions and answers concerning concern-ing dating. Mrs. Southwick pointed out in her discussion that it was a com-! com-! pliment to be asked to some social so-cial functions at the last minute, for it showed tnat that person had a tolerance above the aver-1 age girl. Next Tuesday Mrs. Elwood Corry will address the group in the sixth of a series of seven lectures and her subject will be "Character." i |
