Show Manager Vacancy Poses Problem For City Council A major question to be considered con-sidered at the? regular meeting of the Cedar City Council this evening will b" the matter of replacing re-placing C. F. McNutt as city manager. Mr. McNutt who has served as city manager for the past six months submitted his resignation last week to accept a similar position at Delano, Cal. Members of the council met with Mayor Arnold Anderson Friday Fri-day afternoon after Mr. McNutt's resignation had been handed to the mayor, but no action was taken at that time. It Is understood under-stood that a number of possible candidates for city manager position po-sition were discussed at the Friday Fri-day meeting, but no decisions were made as to who should fill the vacancy or as to what procedure pro-cedure would be followed In selecting se-lecting a successor. There is very little posibillt of a settlement of the manager appointment at the meeting tonight, but the matter will definitely receive consideration, Mayor Anderson says. A number of other matters including in-cluding the consideration of other oth-er city position appointments will come before the council, but con- slderable time must also be devoted de-voted to consideration of routine business matter? at this first meeting of the month. |
