Show Classes offered for new life Get on with life with a class through the Davis Applied Technology Center's Turning Point program. "If you need help adjusting ad-justing to a new life situation, be it divorce, unemployment, kids leaving leav-ing home, or whatever, we have the class for you," said organizers. Turning Point starts Monday, July 9, and will run daily for six weeks from 8:45-10:45 a.m. The class will be held in Room B-104 at the Davis Applied Technology Center at 550 E. 300 S. in Kays- ville. Call the Turning Point program pro-gram at 546-4134 to register. Turning Point focuses on five main areas: self-esteem building, assertive communication skills, life management skills, resource management skills and career development. de-velopment. Turning Point assists individuals in making the transition from home or school to the world of work. The class is free for eligible single parents and displaced home makers. |
