Sisters break arms By EDEN BODILY Some sisters are closer than others. Some want to be just like the other but as two sisters from Woods Cross have shown, that's not always the best way to spend your summer vacation. Heather and Kristen Conover recently re-cently cemented their relationship with plaster. Heather, 11, was hit by a car while riding her bicycle near Benchmark Hospital and suffered a skull fracture, concussion and broken arm when she went through the windshield of an '88 Buick driven by 72-year-old Melba Penrod. No citations were issued. Heather spent three days in Primary Children's Hospital and is now home and "doing wonderful ly,' said her mother, Colleen Conover. Con-over. "This really has a happy ending." en-ding." The happy ending came with a strange twist, however. "Heather got hurt, and Kristen just wasn't herself, ' Mrs. Conover said. "Then Kristen broke her arm Saturday Sat-urday night (a week later) and "everything was fine. Kristen, 9, broke her arm while turning a cartwheel on the front lawn. The girls now have matching neon pink casts and are back to normal activity. "We made it through from the support of our families,' Mrs. Conover said. "That's the best thing. Now, everything's every-thing's almost back to normal. Normal for us, anyway." |
