The rest just sort of came to me. ' Besides the honor of winning a contest, Lee has also learned more about the environment. "I have a great deal more (concern) now than I did," said Lee. "Especially about things such as the impact of plastics." For his winning poster, Lee received a letter from the Smokey Bear Chair, a certificate, and a hat "with a big fuzzy Smokey Bear." By SARAH HANSEN The a(mit division of the Smokey BearWoodsy Owl's 1990 Environmental Envir-onmental Poster Contest was won by Bountiful resident and art teacher, Letter B. Le. M 1 Lee teaches at Millcreek Junior High, where he is often informed of contests for his students. "This was the first time they had an adult division," divi-sion," he said. Lee first won at the state level and then went on to the national competition. The idea for the poster, MFire...destroys our state barks," was one Lee had had for a while. "I had barks for a long time," he said. |
