Show Centerville group wants special water district water purchased from Centerville City of at least $25 per year. Second, Se-cond, the district residents would be allowed significant control over when and how a secondary irrigation irriga-tion water system could be constructed con-structed to serve all areas of the district. And a third advantage, according ac-cording to the petitioners, would be creation of a trust fund for purposes of acquiring irrigation water rights and expediting construction of a secondary water transportation system. Council members did not take action ac-tion on the request, but are studying the petition for consideration at a later date. CENTERVILLE A group of citizens have presented City Council Coun-cil with a petition recommending' creation of a special service district in an area of Centerville not served by secondary water. The petition calls for creation of the Chase Lane Water Service District. It was presented to the City Council by David Hirschi, representative represen-tative of residents in Chase Lane Estates. Hirschi and his neighbors have studied the idea for several months, and their petition to the Council included 264 signatures representing 63 percent of registered voters in the area and 55 percent of the taxable value in the proposed district.
