Show Early inspections okay The next time you take your car in for service, check your license tags. If your registration is 'due within the upcoming two months, ask your mechanic to perform the required safety andor emission inspections in-spections at that time. If you do, you'll be ready when your register-by-mail packet arrives in your mailbox, said the State Tax Commission's Motor Vehicle Division. Divi-sion. Registration packets are being mailed throughout Utah for vehicles whose tags expire in July. Because proof of safety andor emission inspection in-spection is required at the time of registration, the Motor Vehicle Division recommends motorists plan ahead. "You may legally have your safety andor emission inspections performed up to two months before your car or truck registration is due to expire,' said spokesperson Janice J. Perry. Allow 10 days for the registration to be processed and your new tags to arrive. |
