Show A full summer's schedule of western and pop music will be presented at Dixie College's Obert C. Tanner Amphitheater in Springdale near the entrace of Zion's Park. Dixie College to present music in Ampitheatre Dixie College of St. George will present a summer-long program of music at its Obert C. Tanner Amphitheater Am-phitheater in Springdale, near the entrance to Zion's National Park. The big outdoor bowl seating 2,000 was completed in 1976 at a cost of $500,000. It was a Bi-Centennial project, with Salt Lake City philanthropist O.C. Tanner as principal donor. Last year 11 concerts were presented there, says manager Robert Dalton. This season's schedule is: June 12 Oquirr Ridge Drifters, Blue Grass band from Salt Lake City June 26 Ricky Tanner, religious and pop singer July 3 Sage Brush Cotillion, Blue Grass singers July 20-25 Star Pop Singers, directed by Bob Engeman and Carl Bacon August 4 Pop Concert by the Utah Symphony Orchestra Or-chestra September 4 "Sunday Brass" quintet All performances will start at 8 p.m. except that of the Pop concert which will begin at 7:30. |
