Show PHS students garner awards Austin, Scott Freeborn, Velvett Boardman, Brooke Bentley, Donnette Larson, Angie Bentley, Barbara Davenport, Jill Stubbs, John Rex, Wayne Moss, Quinten Robinson and Todd Robinson. Mrs. Bentley presented an activity award to the cheerleaders: Misti Bentley, Carol Hanks, Collette Adams, Lori Robinson and Angie Bentley. FFA awards were given by Thales Brown. FFA Officers: Todd Robinson, Scott Thornton, Thorn-ton, Fred Moreno, Travis Griffiths, Troy Moreno, Wayne Moss, Keith Morris and FFA Sweetheart, Jill Stubbs. He honored Todd Robinson with an Ag Production Placement honor; Renato Matheson with Food Processing; Dan Wood in Public Speaking and The Star Greenhand Award; Lloyd Baker in welding; Keith Morris-The Star Farmer of the Year, Outstanding Ag Mechanic Student, Outstanding Vocational Student Award. Vocational Business awards were presented by Peggy Benson: Julie Wright, Angie Bentley, Janet Evans, Marianne Hulet; Velvett Board-man, Board-man, Outstanding Senior in Vocational Business. Max Dalley gave several special awards: Utah Society of Sons of the American Revolution to Dan Adams; High School Rodeo Club award, Kenneth Loosley ; Coach Tobler named the Outstanding Male Athlete, Brook Bentley. Miss Wilson also presented trophies to the following: Todd Robinson, Best Actor; Wallace Henderson, Most Improved Actor; Dana Abbott, Theatre Contribution; Con-tribution; Donnette Larson, Best Actress, Teresa Larson, Most Improved Actress; Wayne Moss, Theatre Contribution. Scholarships were awarded to the following students by various colleges: SUSC-Scott Freeborn, Angie Bentley, Quinten Robinson, Brent Stapley and Jill Stubbs; USU- Mike Webb, Angie Bentley, Brent Stapley, Barbara Davenport, John Rex; Evans Cosmetology- Kim Cutler; BYU-Mike Webb, Jimmy Robinson, Jill Stubbs; CEU- John Rex; West Minister- John Rex ; U of U- John Rex; Snow College- Brent Stapley, John Rex; Marvin H. Graff Memorial Scholarship presented by Mrs. Mary Alice Graff-Barbara Graff-Barbara Ann Davenport. PAROWAN - The Parowan High School Awards Assembly last week was the site of numerous awards and scholarships granted to PHS students. Karen LeFevre, 1980-81 president of the PTA presented scholarships for summer workshops to the following: Mitch Pendleton, Leadership; Jill Turner and Marianne Hulet, Leadership or Marching; Raquel Rowley and Gina Coulsby, Publications; Wade Adams, Eric Adams, Dan Rex, Doug Roberson, Jill Riggs and Kelly Orton, Basketball; Chad Robinson, Gregory Judd and Randy Robinson, Wrestling; Lori Robinson, Colette Adams, Carol Hanks and Jayley Turner, Cheerleader; Debbie Allen, Monica Pendleton, Karen Benson, Nicole Batron, Eva Allton, Dawn Bentley and Janet Evans, Marching. Anita Dayton awarded Home Economic students for achievements received at SUSC Vocational Day: Teresa Lister, Dawni Bentley, Lisa Hanks, Wendy Webb and Cindy Batt. All Rammettes were rewarded with certificates cer-tificates of appreciation and commendation: Lisa ' Orton, Jill Stubbs, Jill Turner, Quinten Robinson, Annette Talbot, Monica Pendleton, Pen-dleton, Velvette Board-man, Board-man, Nicole Barton, Debbie Allen, Dawni Bentley, Karen Benson, Janet Evans, Mariannne Hulet, Eva Allton, Cindy Batt and Lisa Hanks. Mrs. Dayton also presented Quinten Robinson as the Ram-mette Ram-mette of the Year. Nancy Wilson reported a most successful year in the drama department and recognized the following for their achievements in Region and State Drama Festivals: Teresa Larson, Lar-son, Todd Adams, Robby Hartlmaier, Raymond Alton, Chip Deut-schlander, Deut-schlander, Trinity Olson, Donette Larson, Debbie Wellik, Dan Carter, Gabrielle Thornton, Todd Robinson, Crystal Henderson, Wayne Moss, Lori Robinson, Tony 1 Rasmussen, Jill Rowley, Nora Robinson, Tom Robinson and Ann Arnett. Sandra Benson recognized Model U.N.: Barbara Davenport, Quinten Robinson, Jill Stubbs and Todd Adams; The Parorama staff: Jill Stubbs, Raquel Rowley, Janet Rowley, Dan Rex, Mitch Pendleton, Kelly Orton, Tyese Griffiths, Gina Coulsby, Wade Adams and Todd Adams; the Telarama staff: Donnette Larson, Teresa Larson, Carla Robinson. Chris Evans, for speciality in yearbook production. The Yearbook Company Com-pany honored Jill Stubbs, editor,' with a framed t certifacate of excellence. Jill Stubbs--Outstanding history student. Leilani Bentley paid tribute to John Rex, the Sterling Scholar in English and Literature of Southwestern Utah. She recognized Quinten Robinson as the All Around Humanitites student. Outstanding scholars: Dan Adams, Angie Bentley, Barbara Davenport, Mike Webb, Jill Stubbs, Quinten Robinson, Todd Robinson, Robin-son, John Rex and Jimmy Robinson.
