CHS Music Department earns 5 superior ratings The four violin solos from CHS also received superior ratings. Leslie Peterson, Lori Morrell and Laura Searcy each received a "I" rating, and Joye Hahne, a sophomore, received a received a "I" rating. June Larsen, director of the group, stated that this rating was especially pleasing in that Davis High School was the only other school to rate as high in the string choirs. The Cedar High School String Music Department earned five superior ratings at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival at Brigham Young University Apr. 11. The CHS String Choir "I-." In addition, two string quartets received "II " ratings. In order to participate in the Festival, entries had to earn a "I" rating at a region restival. |
