Show Dutch oven cook contest slated expert. Contest judging will start promptly at 12:15 p.m., so contestants need to be at the Student Center, contest site, early enough that their dessert will be cooked by then. The contest winner will receive a dutch oven. "The folks at the Student Center ---will provide the fire, so all you need to bring is your dutch oven and dessert makings," Dotson said. "A panel of experts will judge the contest and select the grand prize winner." Dotson said that some well-known names in dutch oven cooking, including in-cluding Ken Benson, Al Tait and Bessie Dover, will be on hand to show off their talents. A gang of wild-eyed desperadoes will meet at "high noon" April 28 for one o of Southern Utah State College's traditional Wild West Week activities, but when the smoke clears away the lingering smell will be of dutch oven desserts, not gunpowder.
