Show Dallas star in town Danny White, star quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, was in town last week. Unfortunately for local coaches, he didn't elect to play out his option as a Thunderbird or even as a Redman, but instead returned to Dallas after a brief speaking engagement. White was the featured speaker at a youth fireside held at the LDS Cedar West Stake Center on April 15. The event included a showing of the 1980 Cowboy highlights film, a question-and-answer session and a few remarks from the NFL standout. The unassuming player utilized his quick-wit and personal examples to provide an enjoyable and entertaining evening for several hundred young people. White told his audience that there are more important things in his life than football. He cited family and good health as examples.
